about
This song is inspired by our lives. Every time my wife had a miscarriage, I'd felt like we were losing hope. When you're catching up with old friends or family and feeling the pressure of starting a new family, they have no idea how hard you're trying. A few years after some heart-breaking experiences, our rainbow would make their way into our lives, adding life and light we'd never experienced before.
Even though we have such a beautiful family, I can't help but wonder what it would be like with those other children. I hope you enjoy the music and the storytelling of this song, harkening back to the days of 90s and 2000s Country music, one of the styles of music that helped shape who I am as a musician today.
lyrics
Verse 1
Sometimes I remember those days we learned
What those double lines could be
Tears of joy and laughter, panicked planning too
We’re no longer two, but two would become three
Verse 2
Let’s build our new one a nursery
Let’s build a family on love
In days we heard the heartbeat, in weeks it was gone
They’d become a star up above.
Chorus
Sometimes I wonder
What our lives would be
Holding that baby
I can just see
That child would be just as important
As you’ve always been to me
Verse 3
After a while, we snapped back into life
That same joy I’d seen before was on your face
That same excitement turned to cries of pain
"Oh Lord, I hate this God-forsaken place."
Chorus
But sometimes I wonder (wonder)
What our lives would be (what our lives would be)
Holding that baby (baby)
I can just see
That child would be just as important
As you’ve always been to me
Bridge
When our faith was blown by the wind
And our hearts would break time and time again
The winding roads would lead us back
No matter how those cards were stacked
I know that we can build it back better than ever
Verse 4
When all hope was gone again
We just needed one more win
I’d never seen a rainbow like the one we’ve come to know
Two are finally three, here’s hoping that we grow
The two are finally three
As happy as can be
The two are finally three
Here’s hoping that we grow.

I love this album because it shows not only heartbreak and pain, but hope in relationships. People see our generation as a bunch of people who don't know what love is, but it shows that we CAN love. Moses Andrews III
It's like diving into a bottomless pit of thoughts and feelings. In my humble opinion, I think that's great songwriting. The music may be great, but the performances are even better! Moses Andrews III
